The Indigenous Collaborative Network is a forum coordinated by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) for Indigenous organizations to share perspectives, and provide advice and feedback early in the development of national programs, policies, regulations, and other documents for aquatic species conservation.
TWC supported technical review and First Nations engagement for two DFO initiatives: development of interim mitigation standards for projects near water (including fish screens, fish capture and relocation, and erosion and sediment control measures), and a proposal to streamline regulatory processes by aligning application requirements with project risk to fish and aquatic habitat.
TWC provided technical analysis, engagement planning, and facilitation services to enable meaningful First Nations input into federal fisheries policy development. The work supported Indigenous priorities, rights considerations, and the integration of UNDRIP principles, helping inform project mitigation measures and regulatory requirements and implementation. The approach emphasized collaboration, relationship building, and decision support.

Work with us
We aim to attract great people and to pull together the very best project teams on behalf of clients and communities. We search for those with deep technical expertise and a quality orientation, who lead with something more than their professional skills. It matters to us that TWC team members are both skilled and kind. We want our team and new hires to sense there’s something special happening here, and to feel: I’m a part of it.
