Our Services

Northern Studies

TWC’s Northern Studies service area provides community‑centred research and advisory support across northern and Arctic regions.

How we work

Informed, Respectful Approaches to Working in the North

Our team understands the environmental, cultural, governance, and social dynamics that shape work in the North, and we approach each region as distinct in its histories, Rights, and priorities. We support First Nations, Métis, and Inuit governments—as well as industry and public‑sector clients—with services tailored to northern priorities, governance frameworks, policies, and land‑claim contexts.

By approaching every project with a focus on relationships and regional context, we provide grounded, practical insights that help clients make informed decisions, build trust, and contribute to responsible northern development.

Our work includes our comprehensive services tailored to a northern context, including;

  • Socio-cultural and socio-economic research
  • Policy and program review
  • Northern regulatory advice
  • Community engagement planning and delivery
  • Indigenous-led, protocol driven knowledge exchange between Knowledge holders and other technical specialists
